Fellow membership of the CIPP – criteria
Fellow members of the CIPP are highly regarded payroll, pensions and reward professionals. They have demonstrated their commitment, skills and understanding of the profession and have enhanced career opportunities and professional standing within the industry.
 
Applicants must meet the following criteria and upon application will be assessed by the Chair and Past/Vice Chair of the CIPP to determine whether or not they are successful. The Chair and Past/Vice Chair will then let the membership team know whether or not the application has been successful.  
 
Criteria to be met:

Either

• Holding a level six or seven qualification in payroll, pension or reward.
CIPP qualifications satisfying the criteria: 
BA (Hons) in Applied Business and Management (CIPP) 
BA (Hons) in Business Management
MSc in Business and Reward Management 
MSc in Payroll and Business Management 
MSc in Payroll Management 
MSc in Strategic Leadership 

Or

• Must be an existing full member of the CIPP; and therefore have met the criteria for full membership 
• Held full membership for a minimum of two years
• Be able to demonstrate contribution to the enhancement of the CIPP, its mission statement
o Supporting and developing payroll and pension professionals through education, membership and recognition
      and its values of:
o Teamwork
o Communication
o Trust and honesty
o Striving for excellence
o Professionalism
• Evidence a positive effect on the profession through:
o Member engagement with the CIPP through assisting consultation committees 
o The development of services to members in planning meetings for future events 
o Being published in professional journals on a continuing basis 
o Speaking as an expert at industry events on a continuing basis 
• Must have support from two other professionals within the industry, at least one of which should be an existing member of the CIPP 
• Must not be seen to be working against the CIPP through publishing negative statements, utilising company information for competitive gain or deliberately omitting information regarding the CIPP’s services when promoting the profession
