The latest Quick Poll is now available on the CIPP’s news page. The CIPP want to know if you a real living wage employer.

The real living wage is an hourly rate of pay set independently and updated annually (not the UK government’s National Living Wage (NLW)). The real living wage is the only UK wage rate based on the cost of living and it is voluntarily paid by over 14,000 UK businesses. The Living Wage Foundation has announced that the real living wage has increased to £12 in UK and £13.15 in London. The living wage rates for 2023/24 were announced on 24 October 2023. Living wage employers should implement the new rates as soon as possible and within six months of the annual announcement in Autumn.

The Living Wage Foundation have a broad range of employers accredited with the foundation including half of the FTSE 100 and big household names including Nationwide, Google, LUSH, Everton FC and Chelsea FC, as well as thousands of small-medium enterprises (SMEs).
